I’ve been infatuated with the idea of a capsule wardrobe for awhile now. I love how simple it makes everything- varying between a set number of objects to create a handful of outfits that are far from boring and repetitive. This teacher capsule wardrobe is warm enough to wear over these next few dreary months, professional enough that I am comfortable in the classroom, and stylish in a classic way.
In total, my teacher capsule wardrobe includes twelve items and those items make twelve outfits. For tops, I’ve included a black tee, a denim shirt, a plaid flannel, a white button-down, a black cardigan, and a black turtleneck. For pants, I’ve included one printed pair, one black pair, and a pair of boyfriend jeans (similar here). For accessories, I’ve got a plaid scarf and a red blazer (similar here and here). Finally, for shoes, I’ve got my live-in-everyday Dansko Clogs.
Most of the pieces in this capsule wardrobe are actually from LL Bean, which is one of my favorite places to shop for wardrobe basics. Their quality is incredible and their pieces are consistently classic and stylish. It’s easy to work with the options they provide to create a variety of outfits because everything goes together effortlessly.
