One of my goals for 2020 is to read more. What better way than to commit to reading one book a week? 52 books in 52 weeks and I’ll be sharing every single one on the blog, every Sunday. Check in for my latest reads and recommendations.
I read Kelly Leveque’s first book “Body Love” and wasn’t really hooked. However, I recently rented “Body Love Everyday” from the e-library and started making one of Leveque’s Fab Four Smoothies every morning. Let me tell you, I’m obsessed. The difference I’ve noticed in my energy level is incredible.
Leveque shares her Fab Four approach- a focus on proteins, fats, fiber, and greens. She gets a bit scientific about blood sugar and shares her dietary process but also offers a few lifestyle systems based on some common lifestyles (if you travel, if you’re a home body, etc) and how her nutritional suggestions fit with each. I found her text interesting but personally I’m careful not to subscribe to
diet lifestyle books right away. I do like the underlying ideas though and I think she is on to something with her Fab Four, even if you only implement it during one meal a day.
