My name is Caitlin and I am so happy you are here.
I am an elementary school teacher in New Hampshire with a passion for creating a positive, close-knit classroom community. I urge my students to explore their interests, take chances, make mistakes, and find reasons to love learning. Above all, kids should come before content.
I grew up in Rhode Island before moving further north for the open space, the mountains, and the outdoors. I graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Elementary Education and a Middle Level Endorsement in English. I taught 5th grade science for two years before moving to my current position in 3rd grade.
Teaching is in my DNA. My mother, grandmother, great aunt, and aunt are all teachers. I’ve found immense passion and fulfillment in my career thus far and I plan to continue to push myself, acting as a leader in my school and a mentor for new teachers. I am driven by the need to help others thrive, grow, and succeed- knowing that in turn, they will change the world.
In my free time, you’ll find me reading, writing, or baking up sweet treats in my kitchen. It’s possible I’m out back splitting wood (our wood stove is my most valuable possession) or helping my boyfriend, Ryan, cut down a tree. Maybe we’re renovating a room in our house. Most likely, we’re hiking in the White Mountains or biking around town.
Thank you for taking the time to be here. If you’re an educator, or just an all around cool person, find me on social and REACH OUT!
